Our Mission

Our mission at Tutor Teach is to provide students with more than just subject knowledge. We focus on creating well-rounded learners, of all ages, who can thrive in any academic environment. From mastering study skills to coordinating with teachers and parents, we guide students through every step of their educational journey.

The A+ Student Roadmap is a unique education support framework that helps moms, dads, and students collaborate easily to improve grade level up to 40% by the next report card without wasting money on the wrong tutor, wasting time trying to do it alone, or relying on a tutoring-only approach so they can open bigger doors to better opportunities!

    If my younger self could see me now, they’d be most surprised that I: Became a parent to four amazing kids!

    What I love most about working with our students and families is: the strong sense of community—we’re all united in wanting the best for our kids, and it truly takes a village to make that happen.

    Three of my hobbies and interests include: Running, baking, and traveling (especially to the Disney parks!)

  • What I wanted to be...

    As a child, I wanted to be a Ninja Turtle (Rafael) when I grew up.

  • What I would tell myself...

    Knowing who I am today, one thing I’d tell the younger version of myself is: The person you are today is exactly who you are meant to be, and exactly who the world needs.

  • How I surprise the child in me...

    If my younger self could see me now, they’d be most surprised that I: Can still do a handspring (and land it perfectly...most of the time)

  • What I love most about my role...

    What I love most about working with our students and families is: Hearing the inspirational stories about all the kids who battled with their insecurities about school, how they were able to ever come them and evolve into a better, more confident versions of themselves!

  • My hobbies are...

    Three of my hobbies and interests include: Fitness, playing guitar, spending time geeking out on geeky stuff

  • What I wanted to be...

    As a child, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.

  • What I would tell myself...

    Knowing who I am today, one thing I’d tell the younger version of myself is: Nothing is permanent. This too shall pass. It might feel overwhelming at the moment, but the future is bright and the journey is worth it.

  • How I surprise the child in me...

    If my younger self could see me now, they’d be most surprised that I: Still collect rocks and actually like brussels sprouts now.

  • What I love most about my role...

    What I love most about working with our students and families is: Making deep and lasting connections with families and being able to be a person that can support a family going through a difficult time. I've met some of my best friends through Tutor Teach and I have seen our students grow and flourish. I love reading the updates we receive from students that have long graduated and moved onto post-secondary education and to see them still succeeding and thriving truly shows how much of an impact we had.

    Three of my hobbies and interests include: Gardening, playing guitar, playing Pokemon

  • What I wanted to be...

    As a child, I wanted to be a journalist when I grew up.

  • What I would tell myself...

    Knowing who I am today, one thing I’d tell the younger version of myself is: Confidence is so crucial! Acting as if you have confidence (even if you don't) will eventually turn into genuine confidence. Fake it till you make it!

  • How I surprise the child in me...

    If my younger self could see me now, they’d be most surprised that I: Got a journalism degree.

  • What I love most about my role...

    What I love most about working with our students and families is: Seeing students gain their confidence back!

  • My hobbies are...

    Three of my hobbies and interests include: Hiking, Music, and home DIYs!

  • What I wanted to be...

    As a child, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up.

  • What I would tell myself...

    Knowing who I am today, one thing I’d tell the younger version of myself is: Goals and career choice can change. I originally wanted to be a doctor but pivot to accountant. Pick a path that you enjoy and pursue it because it took some time for me to enjoy and find an accountant path.

  • How I surprise the child in me...

    If my younger self could see me now, they’d be most surprised that I: Have gone overseas to study at University of Leicester at Leicester, UK.

  • What I love most about my role...

    What I love most about working with our students and families is: My love of giving back to the community through volunteer work with 'Give for Grades', as well as hearing all about our parents' kids' success stories and the obstacles they overcame in meeting their goals.

  • My hobbies are...

    Three of my hobbies and interests include: Playing video games, watching movies (except horror), and learning self-defence martial arts.
